On our latest visit to Wendover, we chose the Peppermill since we'd tried the Rainbow and Montego Bay last time. The Nugget/Red Garter casinos seem to have declined in customer service over the past couple of years, so the Peppermill rose to the top of our list. They have a good Mexican sit-down style restaurant, Pancho and Willie's, that we have enjoyed several times, but it can be a bit spendy compared to other fast food options available. This is the only casino under this management with a poker room that doesn't just focus on tournaments, but also has ongoing tables throughout the day.
Many of the machines are newer, but they still have a few oldies that we like to play. You can put in $5 bill and play for a bit, unlike the newer ones that require a minimum $0.50-$0.75 single spin bet. I tend to frequent the older machines with bonus spins. This location is similar to the other two with large TV style wallpaper throughout the building with live scenes of oceans, mountains, showing drone footage of flyovers, etc. I find myself getting distracted, watching the waves roll in on the beach, or the eagles flying over the top of the tall pines blowing in the breezes.
I've not stayed at the hotel here, since we usually come out for the day, or stay at the local KOA in our RV. I have spent many a night at the concert hall, however, and have enjoyed a variety of artists, some of whom have since passed away now. I guess I could say, thanks Peppermill for all the good times, and for those yet to come.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 19, 2023
We stopped in for an overnight on our way to Park City for our annual trip. This was our first time here. We went to Pancho & Willies and enjoyed a good dinner of Fajitas and margaritas. The room was a long walk but kept us far away from the casino. We will be back.

The hotel is terrible.
Front-desk staff: rude.
Food: Terrible.
Casino: Well, at least they have single-deck blackjack.
Pillows: hard as rocks. My neck still hurts.
Bed: Hard as a rock. Worst night's sleep I've had at a hotel in a long while.
Room: Big, but out of date.
The room was sprayed with some kind of scent that smelled like a cheap stripper. I kept waking up gagging and when I got home, my wife wondered why my clothes smelled like that.
This is not the place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jennifer B.Clovis, CA09279Oct 9, 2023

Jennifer, we are so sorry that your dining experience was not up to standard. I have shared your comment with the restaurant management team. They will review with their staff and hope to prevent this from happening in the future.
I have also sent you a private message. - 6365541845Feb 27, 2022
I have been to Wendover a few times now and it seems like this is the staple of the area. Peppermill is extremely popular and I can see why.
They really have a lot of amenities and it blows me away with how they do it. They were advertising filet mignon for $7 when I was there. WHAT. They also had deals like $5.50 margaritas. Not only is the Peppermill casino massive but it is also just a beautiful building in my opinion. The inside is really nice, especially near the bar and restaurant areas. The outside is cool as well, it looks like they have kept the original building and just revamped the inside. I don't know enough about architecture to speak on what kind of era it is or anything like that, but I love the building inside and out! I also think their food is very good. I really have loved every visit here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Abby M.Salt Lake City, UT110Jun 26, 2023
This was the first casino I have ever been to. I played my first ever hand of blackjack and busted out as one does. In that moment, I reflected on what a waste of $15 that single 30 second hand was. I lost another $10 within another few minutes and decided gambling is a horrible waste of money and time.
As I walked out not more than 20 minutes after entering, I couldn't help but think of the sad state of the human condition and capitalism. The only thing that distracted me from the horrible lingering cigarette smell is the depressing sight of everyone else in that casino.
There is nothing more depressing than seeing dozens of people zoinked out in front of flashy, noisy slot machines near literally throwing their money away. They all looked like zombie NPCs. I refuse to believe that any real, rational person could engage in such a waste of time and money. They have to be paid actors. There is no other explanation.
All the warnings of "problem gambling" are clearly for naught as such a sad state of human existence is nothing but problem gambling.
This casino and all others are a shitstain on society.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

Dear Abby, thank you for paying us a visit. You're right, casinos are not for everyone and we can certainly tell, they are not your cup of tea. We hope you find something you enjoy. Many of our guests are regular guests of ours and enjoy visiting us frequently for all forms of entertainment from slots to table games, poker and all levels of delicious dining choices. Maybe next time you can come out and enjoy one of our very popular shows in the concert hall.

I have stayed at Peppermill Reno countless times. It is a beautiful clean resort. However, this stay at Peppermill West Wendover was not even close in comparisons
We were given a King room, which was very nice. Until the smell from the sewer started coming up in the toilet. You could hardly walk into the bathroom.
The doors that lead to our rooms elevator from the parking lot were blocked by maintenance and repair trucks. There were repair workers and lots of garbage by the door.
I was woken up by hammering and machines above my room at 6:50AM. They were doing some type of repairs or upgrades above us.
The bathrooms at Peppermill Reno are always kept clean and tidy. However, at Windover Peppermill, they were dirty, and the majority of the toilet stalls were taped or tied, closed with plastic because they were not working. In one bathroom alone, I counted five stalls broken. There is absolutely no reason for this.
I hope this review will help Peppermill Wendover to upgrade their Hotel to the same standards as Reno Peppermill.
Personally, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Carol C.Washington Terrace, UT047Jun 11, 2023
Our favorite place to play slots is Peppermill. We like to stay at the same place we play. The Cafe and puncho willeys are right there. So easy to play slots , eat our meals and retire to our room, when we tire of having too much fun. Headed back out in a couple of days. Love having fun at Peppermill

We had a great party this weekend. The rooms were very clean and the beds are comfy.
Most of the dealers were very friendly. Everyone wears masks and there is no smoking at the tables now which is GREAT! I hope that remains.
The Italian/American restaurant had quite the selections to choose from. And the servers were really nice.
The only downside is the smoking in the hallways. We were on floor 3 and it was still smokey at the elevators. We were right near one so the smoke drifted into our room. I thought you couldn't smoke in elevators.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Oct 30, 2011Previous reviewThanks to Margeret at the front desk who helped us get into our room earlier than 3pm for our big party for my dad's 70th bday. She was helpful and patient with me, the inpatient customer. Thanks!
Aug 22, 2008Previous reviewYOU must try all the casinos in Wendover! but try this one first. You can usually get a craps table going on weekdays and several fun 21 tables.
They also have a pretty good buffet if you feel like strapping on the feed bag.
double down!!! and don't split 10's for christ's sake.
